Marjorie Minor

1952-2026

SALINEVILLE -- Marjorie Minor, 74, passed away quietly at her sister's home on Saturday, October 3, 2026 with her loving family at her side.

Marjorie was born on June 11, 1952 in East Liverpool, Ohio, a daughter of the late John L. and Olive C. (Leatherberry) Witherow and had lived in the area all of her life.

A 1970 graduate of Southern Local High School, Marjorie embarked on a 42-year career in banking with Central Federal, starting as a teller, working her way up to branch manager, loan officer, and collections. Following her retirement, she worked as a security officer at the information desk at the Salem Regional Medical Center.

Marjorie was also very active in Christian Endeavor, attending many conferences and conventions throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.

As a faithful member at Bethel Presbyterian Church, she sang in the choir, served as a Deacon, an Elder, was a member of the financial review committee, and member of the Fidelis Class, where she was President for many years. She also attended the Seekers Class and the Missionary Society, where she served as treasurer, and was the Sunday School Superintendent, a position she held for almost 50 years. Marjorie was also actively involved in the Salineville-Southern Local Alumni Association Scholarship Foundation. She was also member of the Highlandtown Grange.

Her husband, Roger L. Minor, whom she married April 13, 1991, preceded her in death on February 17, 2025.

She is survived and will be dearly remembered by her sister, Mary Witherow; daughters, Crystal Minor and Brenda (Mike) Lawson; grandchildren, Kyler Woodward, Andrea (Joe) Dowling, Allyson Woodward, and Tyler Minor; great grandchildren, Jadyn, Beckett, Jordyn, Jaxyn, Wyatt, Joseph, James, and Phoebe; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 16521 Steubenville Pike Rd., Salineville, Ohio 43945 with Pastor Terri Swails officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends and family from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home and from noon until the time of services Thursday at the church.
