Carol A Dunn, a beloved 91-year-old, peacefully passed away on Saturday, Aug. 1., at Continuing Healthcare in Lisbon.
Born on Feb. 10, 1935, in Lisbon, Carol was the daughter of the late E. Merle and Phyllis (Geers) Crihfield.
In 1953, she graduated from Lisbon David Anderson High School. Carol's career took her to Sears in Youngstown, where she met her husband, Richard Leroy Dunn. They were married on Sept. 23, 1962. Together, they shared a beautiful 53-year journey before Richard's passing in 2016.
Carol was a lifelong resident of Lisbon, dedicating her life to her family. She was a devoted mother, wife, and daughter, always putting her loved ones first. Carol lived a faithful Christian life, never missing a service at The Pritchard Avenue Church of Christ. For many years, she worked alongside her husband at Lisbon Plumbing and Heating.
Survivors include her brother, Richard Crihfield of Lisbon, and brother-in-law, Gary Wodtly of Point Blank, Texas. Carol is also survived by her two sons, R. Scott (Dawn) Dunn and David Scott (Shane) Dunn, both of whom reside in Lisbon. Their family is further blessed with eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, with a ninth great-grandchild due in October.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by brothers William and Thomas Crihfield, and sister Joyce Crihfield Wodtly.
The Dunn family expresses their deepest gratitude to Continuing Healthcare and Reward Senior Care (formerly Allay Senior Care) for the exceptional care and love they provided to Carol during her time there.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Weber Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
