Jo Ann Rafferty Hays

Jo Ann Rafferty Hays, “Maw Maw,” went to be with the Lord on Thursday April 23, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born in Salem, Ohio, on March 25, 1941, she was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Muriel Berresford Rafferty, and her brother, Ronald Rafferty Sr.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert Hays; three children: Rob Hays and wife Miranda, Melissa Hughes, Denise Condrey and husband Tommy; three grandchildren: Jeffrey Hughes, Christopher Condrey, Alisha Eaton and husband Ryan; her great-granddaughter, “The Apple of Her Eye,” Aimee Condrey; her sister, Patricia Yagielski; her sister-in-law Fay Rafferty; her aunt, Kathleen Berresford; and her cousin and best friend, Charlene Heaver.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, June 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Best Western Plus Dutch Haus in Columbiana, Ohio.
