Connie I. Bennett

EAST PALESTINE — Connie I. Bennett, 56, passed away June 17, 2026, at the Hospice House in Poland.

Connie was born Feb. 12, 1970, in New Brighton, Pa., daughter of Larry and Dorothy (Ribblet) Davis.

Connie was a 1988 graduate of Blackhawk High School. She was employed at Home Depot in Chippewa, where she has worked for the past 26 years. Prior to Home Depot, Connie worked at Walmart for a number of years.

Connie raised Basset Hounds, including Millie, Maggie Mae, Sam and Sally and was dedicated to helping Droopy Basset Rescue in Union City, Pa. She enjoyed spending time thrifting, antiquing and shopping with her sister and mother. She also loved traveling and taking cruises with her husband.

Connie is survived by her husband, John Bennett of East Palestine; mother, Dorothy Davis of Darlington; sister, Lonnie (David) Miller of Leetonia; three uncles, John (Hunt) Ribblet, Gale and Jake Davis; mother-in-law, Ann Bennett; brother-in-law, Raymond (Sue) Bennett; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Bennett; three nephews, Austin Miller, Devin and Sean Bennett; two nieces, Allyson Bennett and Connor Smith; and her two bassets, “the ninjas” Lucy and Linus.

Connie was preceded in death by her father, Larry Davis, and father-in-law, Jack Bennett.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date when all the family can gather together.

Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Droopy Basset Rescue of Western PA, 15581 Stewart Hill Rd, Union City, PA 16438.
