Arthur ‘Sam’ C Ferguson

COLUMBIANA — Arthur “Sam” C Ferguson, 90, of Columbiana, died on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on June 12, 1935, in Columbiana, son of the late Alfred and Lela Crawford Ferguson.

Sam operated Ferguson’s Farm Market and was founder of Shaker Woods Festival with his wife Sue. He was a member of The Shriners, Columbiana Allen Lodge #276 F&AM and the Columbiana Benjamin Firestone Post #290 American Legion. Sam enjoyed golfing and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ann Justice Ferguson and grandson, Michael Covert.

Arthur is survived by his brother, Tom (Janet) Ferguson of Charlotte, N.C.; two daughters, Susan (Jim) Quinlan of Columbiana and Brenda (Don) Covert of New Waterford; stepson, Scott (Jana) Grim; stepdaughter, Lana (Rob) Wilt; seven grandchildren, Nicole (Joe) Rosario, Stephanie (Pat) Halloran, Alysia Cappitte, Josh Wilt, Emily Slepski, Natalie Slepski and Briana Reyes; and numerous great-grandchildren.

A private funeral service will be held.
