William ‘Bill’ Davis
1942-2026
PORT ORANGE, Florida — William MacArthur Davis, “Bill,” 83 of East Palestine, Ohio, died Friday, April 17, 2026 at the Hospice Care Center in Ormond Beach, Florida.
Bill was born Oct. 14, 1942 in Salem, Ohio. Son of the late William Davis and Mathilda (Yarian) Davis, he is survived by his wife, Linda (Magnuson) Davis, who he married on Oct. 17, 1964; two children: Robin (Mark) Downey, Kelly (Travis-deceased) Rambo; and four granddaughters: Sidney Rambo, Chloe (Cyrus) Dzikowski, Shelby Rambo, and Emily Downey. Also a sister-in-law, Pam (Gary-deceased) Magnuson.
Bill had many interests including history, water sports, antiques, reading, photography, and flying small aircraft in his younger years. As Columbiana County Historian he spoke at various groups and helped on local history books. He served on community committees and the Rotary Club. He owned and operated Davis Studio (a photography and photofinishing business) until he retired and moved to Florida in 2012. In Florida he continued his love for gardening inspired by his grandpa Clyde.
Bill attended the Centenary United Methodist Church in East Palestine and was Church Historian. Bill loved people and enjoyed hearing about their lives. He had a great sense of humor. His favorite topic was his granddaughters.
