Ralph Leroy Jones Jr.

LISBON — Ralph Leroy Jones Jr., 64, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 in the emergency room at Salem Regional Medical Center.

Ralph was born Nov. 8, 1961 in Salem, a son of the late Martha “Marti” (Wells) Best and Ralph Leroy Jones Sr of Lisbon.

A graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, Ralph was a student at the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center and had worked as a molder at Quaker City Castings for 21 years.

He enjoyed weightlifting, rooting for the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Columbiana County Special Olympics. Soccer was a big part of Ralph’s life when his children were growing up, and he coached soccer at United Local School District many years ago.

Ralph is survived and will be deeply missed by his wife, Janet Faye (Toot) Jones, whom he married June 26, 1998; his children, Curtis (Sarah) Jones, Nicole (Javan) Price, Michelle (Dustin) Cain, and Michael Clunen, all of Salem, and Ryan (fiancee, Amanda Good) Golden of Lisbon; grandchildren, Landon, Delaney, Brayden, Lucas, Keaton, Emma, Colton, and Raelynn; his stepmother, Shirley Jones of Lisbon; and by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Sara Toot of Lisbon.

In addition to his mother, Ralph was also preceded in death by his brother, Eric Duane Jones, and by his stepfather, Walter Best.

Private visitation and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Hepner officiating. Private burial will take place at the Lisbon Cemetery at a later date.
