David Richard Reynolds

1950-2026

David Richard Reynolds, 75, of Leetonia, Ohio, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus surrounded by family on May 6, 2026.

David was born Oct. 12, 1950 in Salem, a son to Richard and Phyllis (Weidenhof) Reynolds. His parents preceded him in death as well as by his brother, Larry Reynolds. He is survived by his brother, Eric Reynolds and his sister, Susan Reynolds.

He attended and graduated from United Local in 1968. In 1971, David married the love of his life, Oriana (Boehm) Reynolds on the day before Valentine’s Day during a blizzard that kept half their guests away.

David was a devoted husband, committed father, loving grandfather and great-grandfather, caring brother, and faithful friend. He is survived by his bride and children, Michael (Shiloh) Reynolds of Valencia, Pennsylvania; Deanna Hamilton of Leetonia, Ohio; Daniel (Nikki) Reynolds of Leetonia, Ohio; and Adrienne (Frank) Aquino of Louisville, Ohio. He leaves his 13 grandchildren; Catriona, Thaddeus, Julia, Keturah, Calvin, Luke, Tobias, Ella, Rachel, Caleb, Sarah, Lilyana, Colton and step-grandchild Haley. David was also thrilled with his 2 great-grandchildren, Kenneth and Forrest and looking forward to another one to arrive soon.

David was a dedicated provider for his family and spent many years working in the oil and gas industry and carried the same strength, grit, and dependability into every part of his life. He was employed by Columbia Gas for 40 years. His wife Oriana lovingly called him a “Well Doctor,” a position he earned through extensive engineering experience and self-education. Even after retirement, he remained in the business as a consultant for another 10 years because he was valued for his vast knowledge. He truly loved his work and took pride in what he did.

David was a man deeply rooted in his faith, with strong morals and unwavering ethics that guided both his words and actions. He strongly felt God’s deep love for him and for those around him, and was often known to be reduced to tears during church services. To David, nothing was more important than loving Christ with his whole heart. He loved Jesus and the church and served as an elder for many years, most recently at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church.

He was the rock of the family; steady, dependable, and always there when someone needed him. He had a great sense of humor, a quick wit, and a youthful spirit that made it hard to believe his age. He could make people laugh effortlessly and brought comfort and strength to those around him.

David was an avid reader known for his sharp intelligence, extensive knowledge on almost any subject you can imagine (especially history and theology), and nearly incorruptible memory banks. David could tell you all you could ever need to know about anything. Just about the only thing he couldn’t do was spell, much to his everlasting chagrin.

David especially enjoyed watching the Cavs together with his wife and treasured every chance he had to watch his children and grandchildren play basketball. Those moments meant the world to him.

David will be remembered for his faith, his resilience, his love for family, and the lasting impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

A private family service will be held on Saturday, May 9 at Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home in Lisbon with burial following at Woodsdale Cemetery.
