Cecile I. ‘Cis’ Donahey

1944-2026

LISBON — Cecile I. “Cis” Donahey, 81, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at the Salem Regional Medical Center following a recent illness.

Cis was born Dec. 4, 1944 in East Liverpool, a daughter of the late Ralph E. Cunningham and the late Susie (Moore) Adams.

A 1964 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, Cis was the bookkeeper and fiscal manager for the Columbiana County Health Department for 25 years, retiring in 2012. She also worked for 25 years at Pondi’s.

She was a member of the Lisbon First Christian Church and loved making crafts and crocheting.

Her former husband, Robert Errol Donahey, whom she married July 1, 1961, preceded her in death Feb. 23, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her son, Richard Donahey, her two brothers, and one sister.

She is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughters, Robin (Alan) Donahey, Susan (Tom) Moore, and Sharon Donahey; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Private family visitation was held at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with burial at the Lisbon Cemetery at a later date.
