Stella Mae Hazzard

1929-2026

HOT SPRINGS, Arkansas — Stella Mae Sesser, Draper, Baumgartner, Hazzard, 96 of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026 at home wrapped in her mother’s quilt and surrounded by a few members of her loving family. Stella was born Dec. 23, 1929 outside of Malvern, Arkansas, to the late Claude Ramey and Audie Bridges Sesser.

Stella was predeceased by her parents, Claude Sesser of Malvern, Arkansas, L. Gorden and Audie Easter of Malvern, Arkansas; husbands Leo Draper of Malvern, Arkansas, Milton Baumgartner of Briggsdale, Colorado; two sons, Roger Draper and Kenneth Draper; two brothers, Austin (Jack) and Billy Joe (Pete) Sesser; sister Bobbie Easter; a stepsister, Joyce McDaniel; stepbrother D.E. Easter; grandson Benjamin Leo Draper; a great-granddaughter, Brittany Teague; a great-great-grandson, Jaden Johnson.

Stella is survived by her husband Jack A. Hazzard of Hot Springs, Arkansas; sons Daniel (Ellen) Draper of Bismarck/Hot Springs, Arkansas, John (Beth) Baumgartner of Greeley, Colorado; daughter Joyce Baumgartner of Briggsdale Colorado; a stepson Michael Hazzard of Ohio; two stepdaughters, Linda (John) Williams of Ohio and Lori Czompoly of Ohio; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
