Shirley Marie Lattanzio

1936-2026

ROGERS — Shirley Marie Lattanzio, 90, passed away April 24, 2026, at Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehab.

She was born March 23, 1936, in Salem, Ohio, daughter of the late Robert Wade and Gladys (McCord) Huffman.

Shirley was raised in Elkton but was a longtime resident of Rogers. She graduated from David Anderson High School in Lisbon. She worked as a billing clerk for the Columbiana water and sewer department for many years until her retirement in 2005. She was a faithful follower of God and was baptized at a young age. Shirley enjoyed gardening, watching and feeding the birds, her animals and being outdoors. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and most especially her grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Umberto Lattanzio of Hallettsville, Texas; a son, Layne (Melissa) Lattanzio of Rogers; six grandchildren, Andrea (Greg) Thompson, Danielle (Stephen) Tindell, Victoria (Shawn) Hoon, Vicktoria (Chad) Schneider, Quinn (Ann) Lattanzio and James (Taylor) Lattanzio as well as 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Anthony and Terrance Lattanzio; two brothers, Harley and Robert Huffman; and a sister, Evelyn Baker.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2026. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 5 to 6 p.m. A private burial will be held at Carmel Achor Cemetery in Rogers.
