Jean Flynn

1931-2026

EAST PALESTINE – Jean Flynn, 95, passed away April 26, 2026, at Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehab.

She was born April 14, 1931, in Darlington, Pa., daughter of the late Anthony and Jenny (Coliani) Suigo.

Jean was a lifelong resident of the area, and a longtime resident of East Palestine. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and worked at Kingwood Ceramics for a number of years as a painter and decorator. Jean enjoyed painting, artwork, spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with friends.

Jean is survived by a daughter, Colleen (David) Bennett of Poland; five grandchildren, Erin (Aaron) Tainter of Wexford, Pa., Daniel (Allison) Bennett of Concord Twp., Ohio, Megan (Andrew) Yancey of Gibsonia, Pa., Jesse (Jessica) Hahn of Peoria, Arizona, and Stephanie (Josh Frederick) Hahn of Norwich, Connecticut, as well as 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, William F. Flynn in 1993; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Fred Hahn; a sister, Anna Suigo Post; and a granddaughter, Melissa Hahn.

A private burial will take place at Glenview Cemetery in East Palestine. No other services will be observed.
