Cristal Cronin

1974-2026

Cristal Cronin, 51, of Hammondsville, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026. She was born on Dec. 18, 1974, the daughter of the late Donald and Catherine (Shields) Pickens. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmom Karen Pickens and a son, Austin Adams, and a brother, DJ Pickens.

Cristal enjoyed being a homemaker and enjoyed the outdoors especially taking care of their farm. She loved arts and crafts and was a very good artist in doing drawings. She loved animals and taking care of them. She had a horse named Molly and a pet raccoon, Sarah. She loved her family but her grandchildren were “the apple of her eye.” She was a good friend to many and always lent a helping hand. Her love lives on in the hearts of all that loved her.

She is survived by her husband Randy Cronin, at home; three sons, Chad Lang of Minerva, Rudy “Scott” Lang of Lisbon and Jim (Kensley) Adams of Wellsville; 11 grandchildren, Gabriel, Kidd, Veda, Todd, Ragnarr, Austin, Kendrick, Vaylin, Asher, Cambrie and Alayah. She is also survived by three brothers, Norman Shields of Calcutta, Terry Pickens of Ohio and Scott Foutts, and a sister, Tammy Atkins of Calcutta.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, April 6, 2026 at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell from 4 to 7 p.m. and her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
