Richard Delbert Guy

1941-2026

COLUMBIANA — Richard Delbert Guy, 84, of Columbiana, died on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Windsor House at Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana Surrounded by loved ones.

He was born on May 23, 1941, in Salem, son of the late Charles Guy. He grew up in Elkton with his grandmother Lillian Stack, where he became a permanent fixture in his uncle Ben and aunt Bev Rittegers household. Growing up with his cousins was like having siblings of his own.

Richard retired from Columbiana Boiler as a drill press operator. He enjoyed fishing, raccoon hunting, eating at Paul’s in Columbiana and was known for walking the town with his straw hat and walking stick.

His wife, Marie Belle Bartholomew Guy, whom he married on April 4, 1982, preceded him in death on March 11, 2008.

Richard is survived by his son, Kurt Guy of East Liverpool; a stepdaughter, Carol Westover; two stepsons, Robert (Beth) Westover and Stan (Amy) Westover; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Windsor House at Parkside Health Care Center and Sanctuary Hospice for their care and compassion.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Friday March 20, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home Columbiana, with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating.

Burial will take place at Kemble Cemetery, Elkton.

Memorial donations may be made to Windsor House at Parkside Health Care Center, Activities Center.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
