Louis Richard Bowen

On Friday, March 13, 2026, Louis Richard Bowen, 89, of Columbiana, OH died peacefully at Assumption Village in North Lima, OH. He was born in Cleveland, OH on April 16, 1936, to Everett and Marion (Gable) Bowen.

Throughout Lou’s career he worked in various security positions in the area. He was an active member of St. Jude Church in Columbiana and loved playing St. Patrick for the children at its Bible School. Lou was also in charge of drinks at the Caritas Community Meal and was a fourth-degree knight with the Knights of Columbus holding many roles within the organization. On a more personal note, Lou spent many enjoyable days watching traffic pass from his front porch on Main Street. He spoke often of his smart and loyal dog Rusty and enjoyed cooking but loved eating even more.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at St. Jude Church of St. Carlo Acutis Parish, 180 7th Street, Columbiana, OH 44408. Burial to immediately follow at Columbiana Cemetery.
