Laura M. Salyers

1971-2026

EAST PALESTINE — Laura M. Salyers, 54, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 28, 2026.

She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, Sept. 13, 1971, daughter of the late James and Ruth Miller Shenton.

Laura was a longtime resident of East Palestine and Rogers. She worked as a custodian at both Beaver Local Schools and the New Castle School of Trades. When not working, she appreciated watching sunrises and sunsets, spending time with her family and friends, fishing with her grandchildren, camping and spending time outdoors.

Laura is survived by two sons, Geoff (Heather) Salyers of Rogers, Mike (Emily) Salyers of Springdale, Pa.; five grandchildren, Collin, Violet, Aubree, Ben and Roman, as well as many nieces and nephews and her three beloved cats.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Shenton.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday March 8, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 5 to 6 p.m.
