Jane Ross

1942-2026

EAST PALESTINE — Jane Ross, 83, passed away Feb. 6, 2026, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Boardman.

She was born April 25, 1942, in Saxton, Pa., daughter of the late Calvin and Martha (Hollingshead) Carmack.

She was a lifelong resident of East Palestine. She was a devoted wife and mother and was happiest just spending time with her family and taking care of the house and mowing the yard.

Jane is survived by two sons, James (Cyndee Russell) Ross and William (Leighann) Ross, both of East Palestine; a sister, Susan (Wayne) Lench; as well as three grandchildren, Erica, Derek (Hannah) and Ryan (Skylar Fletcher) Ross and two great-grandchildren, Paxton and Maverick.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Ross, in 2022.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. No other services will be observed. A private interment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
