Rose Nutter

Rose Nutter, 99, of Dungannon passed away on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026. She was born on Nov. 13, 1926 to Clifford and Lillie Marchbanks. Rose worked at cleaning homes and business for many in the area. She was a member of the Trinity Friends Church. Rose could be found working outside doing yard work or gardening. She loved to spend time with the grand children and doing putting puzzles together. She married the love of her life William E. Nutter Sr. and he passed away on June 8, 1956.

Survivors include her children Carol A. Nutter of the home, Linda K. McGuire of Dungannon, William E. Nutter Jr. of Hanoverton, David L. (Rita) Nutter of Salem; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and many extended family members.

Rose was preceded in death by two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her siblings Johnson, Edward, David, George and Daniel; and a son-in-law, Junior McGuire.

Private services will be held and burial will be in the Hanoverton Grove Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Auburn Nursing Home for the loving care they gave Rose during her stay with them.
