COLUMBIANA — Marilyn “Lynn” C. McMaster, 93, of Columbiana, Ohio died on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026, with Hospice of the Valley at Hospice House.

She was born on June 1, 1932, in New Philadelphia, Ohio, daughter of the late Virginia and George Myers.

Lynn graduated from Grandview Heights High School in 1950 and went on to work as a bank teller at a local bank, where she was known for her kindness.

She met the love of her life, Jon, on a blind date — a beginning that led to a remarkable 67 years of marriage filled with partnership and unwavering devotion. Together, they built a life rooted in in family, faith, and adventure.

For many, years, Lynn was actively involved with Grace Church where she faithfully served on various committees and lived out her commitment to service. Above all else, she dedicated her life to her family, always placing their needs and happiness first.

Lynn had a true spirit of adventure. She loved playing cards with friends, camping, horseback riding, and fishing in the remote parts of Canada alongside dear friends. She welcomed everyone with open arms and would do anything to help someone in need. Many of her children’s friends grew up working on the family farm and considered her a second Mother. Her generosity, warmth, and joy left a lasting impression on all who knew her, including her extended family at Masternick Memorial whom she adored.

She will be remembered as the absolute best — an extraordinary woman whose love and kindness shaped countless lives and whose legacy will live on through the family and friends she cherished so deeply.

Her husband, Jesse Jon McMaster, whom she married on Feb. 16, 1952, preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 2019.

Marilyn is survived by her son, David McMaster of Columbiana, Ohio; two daughters, Lori (Todd) Wilson of Algona, Iowa and Julie (Scott) Franks of West Middlesex, Pennsylvania; daughter-in-law, Debbie McMaster Robbins of North Carolina; 12 grandchildren, Brandy, Melissa, Lauren, Philip, Rachel, Michael, Danyelle, Nicole, Rebecca, Alex, Cade and Olivia; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery McMaster, and great-granddaughter, Kaitlin McMaster.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, Ohio.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, at noon at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, Ohio with Reverend Dr. William R. Toliver officiating.

Burial will take place at Columbiana Cemetery.
