Frank Conkle, 64, passed away peacefully on Jan. 9, 2026, at Continuing Health Care in Lisbon. Born on March 31, 1961, in Salem, Ohio, Frank lived a life marked by resilience, love, and connection with family and friends.

A graduate of Beaver Local High School with the Class of 1979, Frank went on to work as a truck driver for Fillmore Freight Lines in East Liverpool.

Lovingly placed for adoption by his biological mother, Virginia McGrath Fittro, Frank was welcomed into the home of Harry and Margie Conkle, who preceded him in death. He cherished the loving upbringing they provided. In a remarkable turn of events, Frank found his biological mother and sisters later in life, forging a strong bond that enriched his days. This reunion was a testament to Frank’s open heart and the enduring power of family.

Frank is survived by his brother, John Conkle; his biological mother, Virginia McGrath Fittro, and sisters Renee Balcorta, Teresa Martinez, and Lisa Terraciano. He also leaves behind his cousin, Karen Tice, along with several beloved nieces and nephews.

Frank’s journey through life was underscored by his steadfast nature and unwavering love for those around him. His legacy serves as an inspiration to embrace family and nurture relationships, reminding us all of the profound connections that define our lives. May he rest in peace, forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A memorial service to celebrate Frank’s life will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026 at 6 p.m. in the chapel of The Way Station of East Palestine, 109 W. Rebecca St., East Palestine, OH 44413. Visitation will be held one hour before the service time.

The Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation in Calcutta were entrusted with Frank’s arrangements.
