Frances Lorena (Williams) Brown, 87, of Salineville, Ohio, was warmly welcomed into Heaven on Jan. 7, 2026. Born on Aug. 7, 1938, in Tryon, North Carolina, she was the youngest of 12 children born to Steward and Minnie (Walker) Williams.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Larry) Wells of Chester, West Virginia; Rebecca (Vince) Liao of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Janet (Rodney) Dean of Carrollton, Ohio. Frances was a loving grandma to 10 grandchildren and a great-grandma to 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Brown, and her sons, William "Bill" Brown and David Brown.
Frances was Baptist by faith, and attended the Salineville United Methodist Church and Victory Baptist Church in Kensington, Ohio. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Parkside Health Care in Columbiana, Ohio.
Frances (Lorena) was known for her selfless love for others and her deep faith and trust in God. Her beautiful quilts and blue-ribbon peanut brittle were admired by many, but most of all, she was cherished as a sweet friend and a woman of faith. She lived a full and meaningful life and will be deeply missed by her extended family, her church and Bible study family, her quilting groups, her book club, and her community.
All are welcome to the visitation on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. and the funeral service on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Kerr-Watson Funeral Home, 36 W. Main St., Salineville, Ohio 43945. A private burial will be held at Woodland Cemetery.
