EAST LIVERPOOL – Kathryn J. “Kitti” Wilson-Phillips, of East Liverpool, passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2025, while surrounded by her family at the East Liverpool City Hospital. She was 89 years old.
Born on Oct. 26, 1936, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Doris Jones Springer. She was a lifelong resident of the area and had attended Chester High School. Kitti dedicated 26 years of service as a bus driver for Beaver Local Schools and was previously employed at the East Liverpool Five and Dime. She was a member of Northside Community Church. Kitti was known for her quick wit and keen sense of humor. She was deeply devoted to the children she transported each day, and above all, she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Stanley “Stan” Wilson, and her second husband, Norman S. Phillips, as well as a son, Thomas Jeffrey Wilson, and a brother, Ron Springer.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Kim McCoy and her husband, Rex, of Negley, and Pamela Wilson of Lisbon: four grandchildren, Korisa Walton and her husband Chris, Heather Kendrick and her husband Danny, Stanlyn Watson, and Johnny Watson and his wife Cassidy; and seven great-grandchildren, Caleb, Jada, Zoey, Karsyn, Cole, Anna, and Wyatt. There are two brothers, Hugh A. Springer and David L. Springer.
Pastor Larry Rose of Northside Community Church will conduct a funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior, from noon to 2 p.m. Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
