Jeannie Lynn Lewis
1946-2025
Jeannie Lynn Lewis, 78, of Hanoverton passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2025, in Centreville village in Carrollton. She was born on Dec. 12, 1946, in John Moore’s Branch, Elkhorn City, Kentucky, to Oscar and Lucille (Estep) Wright. She was 1964 graduate of United High School, and has worked at the Hanoverton Christian Preschool, Salem Church Budget, and the Columbiana County Nursing Home. Jeannie was a lifetime member of the Hanoverton Christian Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lewis, who died July 7, 2025; stepdaughter, Luann Gram; and great-grandson Dalton Carmine.
She is survived by a daughter, Kelly (Scott) Davis of Kensington; stepson, Douglas (Patti) Lewis of Kensington; a brother, Tim (Joan) Wright; two grandchildren, Rachael (Sean) Carmine and Jacob (Kirah) Davis; two great-grandchildren, Isabella Carmine and Theodore Carmine; a nephew, Brad Wright; and numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Hanoverton where her son-in-law, Pastor Scott Davis, will share words of comfort and bring the eulogy. Because Jeannie found so much joy in cooking and feeding those she loved, the family requests that memorial donations be made in her honor to the Hanoverton Christian Church Little Free Pantry in lieu of flowers.
