James Edward Ruscoe

1946-2025
EAST PALESTINE — James Edward Ruscoe, 79, passed away October 5, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Boardman following a lengthy illness.
Jim was born June 16, 1946, in Youngstown, Ohio, son of the late George and Florence Swanson Ruscoe.
Jim was raised in New Waterford but was a longtime resident of East Palestine. He began his career as a truck driver at Herriott Trucking and later drove for RW Sidley Trucking before his retirement. He was a member of Teamsters Local #377. Jim enjoyed spending time with family, but most especially loved his grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy (Horn) Ruscoe; three sons, James Dean (Crystal) Ruscoe of East Palestine, Joseph (Melanie) Ruscoe of North Carolina, Jonathan (Vicki) of Newton Falls; two sisters, JoAnn Davis of East Palestine and Vicki Depp of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren, Zachary, Austin, Lanie Jo, Trevor, Dylan, Maxwell, Trista and Jayd as well as a great granddaughter, Emerson Rose.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Frank and two sisters, Kathy and Nancy.
Following Jim’s wishes, no services or calling hours will be observed.
