Betty J. Brewer

EAST LIVERPOOL — Betty J. Brewer, 94, of East Liverpool, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Blossom Nursing Center with her family by her side.

Betty was born in Fairchance, PA, on March 22, 1931, a daughter of the late David and Josephine (Abbott) Mickens. She worked at Hills and A & P as a clerk. Betty was an avid bowler bowling in several area bowling leagues. She had a green thumb and loved flowers. Betty was a loving mother and sister who will be greatly missed by her children.

Preceding Betty in death were her husband Emery Brewer, Sr.; two sisters Georgia and Daisy Mickens and six brothers Randy, Sam, Joe, Leon, Timothy and Dock.

Left to cherish her memory are her son Emery L. “Sonny” Brewer, Jr. and his wife Linda Rolley; daughter Roxie Brewer; brother Nolan Mickens; three sisters Joann Mickens Taylor, Henrietta Mickens and Beverly Mickens and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 3 to 7 p.m.
