Peggy Sue DeLong

1969-2025
SALINEVILLE — Peggy Sue DeLong, 56, passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 15, 2025 at the Cleveland Clinic following a lengthy illness.
Peggy was born Jan. 11, 1969 in Salem, a daughter of Raymond and Violet (Wooley) Davis, and had lived her entire life in the area.
She graduated with honors from Southern Local High School and the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center and then earned an associate’s degree in accounting from the Ohio Business College.
Peggy worked for the Sterling China Company until they closed, then went to work as a handler at the Homer Laughlin China Company until 2016.
She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, boating and playing badminton.
In addition to her parents, Raymond and Violet Davis of Salineville, she leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Ryan E. DeLong, whom she married March 21, 1987; her son, Devon (Kim Baird) DeLong of Alliance; grandson, Eric DeLong of Alliance; sisters, Shelly (Rod) Baker of Massillon and Stephanie (Bill) Shaw of New Waterford; brother, Billy Davis of Salineville; sister-in-law, Shawna (John) Curtis of Brunswick; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Private services were held Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home.
