Dale R. Myers

Dale R. Myers, 87, of Salineville died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 31, 2025.

Dale was born in Carrollton, Ohio on May 2, 1938 a son of the late Roy Myers and Martha (Nicholson) Crowl.

Having lived all his life in the area Dale was a member of the labor Local 809 out of Steubenville, Ohio, had attended the Church of Christ in Salineville and had been a member of the NRA. Dale was an all around craftsman. Most notably Dale moved a settlers cabin from Monroeville which became his workshop. He made various things in his shop: muzzleloading rifles, powder horns, tomahawks, knives, furniture and did rifle repair.

Dale is survived by his wife of 67 years: Barbara Ann (Detchon) Myers whom he married May 31, 1958; two sons: Mark (Lori) Myers of Salineville, Chris (Tammi) Myers of Salineville; a daughter: Cathy Needham of Hanoverton; a sister: Wilda Webb of Louisville; five grandchildren: Cory Thomas, Justin Allender, Ashley Ping, Chelsie Myers, Jordan Myers and 12 great-grandchildren: Alivia, Jensen, Maverick, Ezra, Chloe, Owen, Kylie, Emma, Ethan, Eliza, Peyton and Taytum.

In addition to his parents Dale was preceded in death by a brother: Lewis Myers.

Services will be held at the Kerr Watson Funeral Home on Monday August 4, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Chris Mowry of the church officiating. The family will be present to receive friends two hours prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. up until the time of service at 1:30 p.m.
