Stephen B. Molnar Jr.

1953-2025

EAST PALESTINE -- Stephen B. Molnar Jr., 72, passed away on July 8, 2025, from complications of cancer. He was born Jan. 26, 1953 in Youngstown, a son of the late Stephen and Marion (Schneider) Molnar.

He graduated from Boardman High School in 1971, and enlisted in the United States Army in 1972, ultimately retiring as a Sergeant 1st Class from the Reserves in 2001. He then earned his Bachelor Degree in 1985, and completed Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training in 1988.

He spent most of his career at Modern Builders, and later at Butech Bliss, where he worked from November 2007 until January 2025. He was known for his loyalty, dependability, determination to get the job done, and for his pride in his sons. Many people in East Palestine should remember him for his roles in his sons' sports, his help in the concession stands, and his big heart.

After a brief engagement, he married his soulmate, Linda Agnew on Oct 8, 1988. Their nearly 37 years of marriage were filled with love, laughter, cats, and shared purpose as they raised their sons and built a life together.

There will be no calling hours or services at this time. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, material contributions be made to either the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society in his honor.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman. Condolences may be sent at www.beckerobits.com.
