Donna Jean (McCoy) Springer

NEW WATERFORD – Donna Jean (McCoy) Springer passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Crossroads at Beaver Creek.
Donna Jean was born on June 16, 1937 in Unity, Ohio to Ross and Ruth E. Webber McCoy from New Waterford, Ohio.
She graduated from New Waterford High School in 1955. She worked as a cushion sewer for Cherry Hill in Columbiana and at Ethan Allen in East Palestine. She later worked for Ferrante Upholstering in Beaver, Pa. and Morelli Upholstery until 2022. She had a very good work ethic, and had a heart for helping people. She was always willing to lend a hand to someone.
She enjoyed music, dancing, and camping. “Blue grassing” was her passion in later life.
She is survived by two children, Beverly Cline of New Waterford and Robert (Jill) Huffman of Biloxi, MS; six grandchildren, Wade (Sara Frederick) Baer of Columbiana, Megan (Keith) Kollaja of Montgomery, Texas, Samuel (Heather) Baer of Galion, Ohio, Chase Huffman, Ty Huffman, and Kylie (Lane Boudreau) Huffman, all of Biloxi, MS; seven great-grandchildren as well as her siblings, Glen (Pat) McCoy, Linda Burkey, Earl (Betty) McCoy, Rich (Carol) McCoy, David (Janet) McCoy, and sister in law, Patricia Linger McCoy.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard (Freda) McCoy, Donald McCoy, Helen (Edward) Greene, Dorothy McCoy, JoAnn McCoy, Homer McCoy, a brother in law, James Burkey and two son in laws, James Baer and Russell Cline.
Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2025 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana. Funeral service will follow calling hours at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Interment will take place in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff at Crossroads at Beaver Creek for taking such good care of Donna Jean. Memorial tributes may take the form of a donation to the American Heart Association.
