Ethel "Marlene" Chuey passed away June 3rd, 2025. Jerome "Picker" Chase Chuey passed away June 18th, 2025. Married August 11, 1989, they were longtime Lisbon residents. Following lengthy illnesses, they both passed away at Blossom Nursing Home.
Born in Rensselaer, Indiana, April 15, 1958, Marlene was the daughter of the late Gaylord and Bethel Wright. Born in Salem, Ohio, Feb. 1, 1953, Jerome was the son of Joseph Sr and Julia Chuey.
Marlene was previously employed at Carriage Hill and Days Inn. She was strong in her faith and, for a short time, attended Harvest Baptist Church. She enjoyed time with her family and friends.
Jerome was previously employed at Demings Pump, Albco, Columbiana Pump, Eljers and D&V Trucking. He was an avid outdoorsman. He could be found hunting, fishing, gardening, enjoying wild game dinners or watching NASCAR.
Both were longtime member of Lisbon Eagles. They most enjoyed spending their time with each other and their puppies.
They leave behind children: Tonya (Bill) Burkett, Amy (Reid) McCoy and Michael (Amanda) Reynolds. Grandchildren: Kayla, Erika (Zach), Chase (Sabrina), Emma, Austin, Jalynn, Paige, Mikey and Braxton. Great grandchildren: Jaxon, Zeke, Dean, Oaklynn and Greyson.
They are survived by siblings: Darryl (Becky) Manns, Jane (the late Ron) Kress and John (Mary) Chuey and so many wonderful nieces and nephews.
They were preceded in death by Marlene's parents, Gaylord and Bethel Wright. Jerome's parents, Joseph Sr and Julia Chuey. Also proceeding them in death, Jerome's brothers, Joe (the late Carolyn) Chuey, Jeff (the late Susan) Chuey and Jim Chuey Sr. They also lost a son-in-law Brian Bertman McCoy. Also proceeding Marlene in death was biological father, Darnce Manns, for whom she had great affection.
There are no services planned at this time.
Arrangements are being handled by Weber's Funeral Home.
