Keith Allan Clapsaddle

1957-2025
Keith Allan Clapsaddle, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, in Greenville, S.C., at the age of 68. Born on May 11, 1957, in Salem, Ohio, to Paul and Dora Mae Clapsaddle of Kensington, Keith made lifelong friendships and lasting memories in the place he proudly called “K-Town.”
Keith’s life was a testament to his devotion to family and his zest for life. He is survived by his loving daughters, Andrea Neill, Amy Lane (Dave), and Amanda Huber (Jon); and by his cherished grandchildren — Madelyn, Jacob, Cassidy, Bailey, Camden, Sydney, Harper, Wesley, Elliot, and Bennett — who will forever miss their Pap’s unwavering support and love. Also surviving are his siblings, Sheila Hardesty (Jeff) and Butch Clapsaddle (Karen), who will remember their baby brother as the source of laughter, mischief, and fond memories.
Keith built a career marked by loyalty and dedication. He spent 25 years at Hunt Valve in Ohio before relocating to South Carolina, where he concluded his working years with a well-earned retirement from Amsted Rail in 2022. His colleagues respected him for his work ethic, camaraderie, and wise counsel.
Outside of work, Keith embraced life with an open heart. He found freedom on the open road astride his Harley, soaking in the wind and sunshine. His competitive spirit shined in games of pool and on the softball field, where he was known for patrolling left field like a force of nature and running the bases with unmatched tenacity. Keith’s passion for sports was especially evident as his grandchildren hit the court and field, where he was their biggest fan, following every play with pride.
A lifelong fan of Cleveland sports and Ohio State football, Keith’s loyalty remained unshaken — even when the Browns broke his heart time and again. His humor, generosity, and wisdom made him unforgettable, and his absence will be deeply felt by everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents and a few very dear friends, and his family takes comfort in knowing they welcomed him with open arms. His life was a mosaic of love, laughter, and kindness. Keith’s stories, sage advice, and warm heart will be treasured always. As we say goodbye to Keith Allan Clapsaddle, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man deeply loved. To honor his memory, a celebration of life will be held at a future date.
