Janet L. Krueger

1947-2025

LISBON, Ohio -- Janet L. Krueger, 78, passed away quietly Tuesday, June 24, 2025 following a lengthy and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.

Janet was born April 10, 1947 in Lisbon, a daughter of the late Maurice W. and Marjorie (Smith) Armstrong.

A 1965 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, Janet trained to be a stewardess with the former Alleghany Airlines and later worked as a secretary and event coordinator for the Maryland Chamber of Commerce, eventually working into the role of Vice-President.

She had attended the Hanoverton and Bethesda Presbyterian Churches, was a former member of the Red Hat Society, and was very active with her Miller's Place friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Krueger, whom she married on Jan. 24, 1976, and by her sister, Kathleen "Kay" Buckley, and by her daughter, Dr, Kathy Krueger.

Janet is survived by her sister, Diane Armstrong; children, Jane Metz, Robert Kreuger, and Paul Krueger; grandchildren, Meshach (Carly), Megan, Yesenia, Angela, Nikki, and Kalina; several great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Paul Buckley; nieces and nephew, Michael (Colleen) Buckley, Suzanne (Michael) Hritz, and Terry (Bianca) Buckley, as well as many great-nieces and -nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Allmon officiating. Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.

The family will receive guests from 11 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
