Dorothy 'Dolly' Snedeker

1951-2025

NEGLEY -- Dorothy "Dolly" Snedeker, 73, passed away June 12, 2025, at the UPMC Presbyterian Medical Center.

Dolly was born July 21, 1951, in East Liverpool, Ohio, daughter of the late Eli and Mildred (Vujakalya) Ratkovich.

She was a lifelong resident of the area. Dolly graduated from Western Beaver High School in 1969 and was a member of the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Midland, Pa. She was happiest spending time with her grandchildren that affectionately called her Baba. She also enjoyed going to the camp in Tionesta and annual family vacations.

Dolly is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald Snedeker Sr.; two sons, Donald L. Snedeker Jr. of Negley and Robert (Rachel) Snedeker of Negley; a daughter, Sherri (Albert) Houghton of East Palestine; a brother, Nick Ratkovich; three sisters, Annie Delo, Rose Young and Millie Montagnese; as well as 11 grandchildren, Preston, Olivia, Sophia, Kaylee, Rebeka, Willow, Robert, Jameson, Timothy, Christopher and Briahna.

She was preceded by a son David, in infancy, three sisters and four brothers.

The family wishes to thank the staff at DCI in Chippewa for the care they showed to Dolly.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. A private burial will be held for the family on Wednesday.
