Stacey C. Zimmermann Caron

1970-2025

Heaven gained an angel with the passing of Stacey C. Zimmermann Caron on Feb. 10, 2025, at the age of 54. Stacey was born on Aug. 7, 1970, to Rodger and Mary Lou (Collier) Zimmermann of Columbiana, Ohio. She was a lifelong member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church. A Graduate of Columbiana High School in 1988, she pursued her degree in Accounting at Youngstown Stare University. After graduating with her degree, Stacey lived briefly in Canton, Ohio where she met her husband Scott W. Caron and married on Dec. 30, 1997.

To know Stacey, was to instantly love her. Her tenacious exuberance, thoughtfulness, faith, and love were beyond measure in what she gave to her family and friends. Stacey was a source of wisdom and guidance, always offering a listening ear and a compassionate heart. She thoroughly enjoyed the house she and Scott built and her time turning it into a home, from filling it with treasures and memories to her meticulously kept flower beds and bird feeders. And of course, her legendary pool parties.

To say that she lived each day to the fullest is no exaggeration as she was blessed to enjoy many places and events. From Las Vegas, Snowshoe Mountain, Estes Par, Sanibel Island, Lake Erie, the Carolinas, stepson Ryan’s high school football games, daughter Quinn’s equestrian competitions, to soaking in the love of her grandsons. She enjoyed collecting purses, rosaries, and creating her own style of meditation to simply embrace each and every moment she lived.

Her pride and joy were being a wife, mother, stepmom and “Wa-Wa” (grandma), with all of whom she shared her lifelong love of Sunset Beach, N.C. Stacey’s life of courage and fortitude was extraordinary especially in the last 13 years as she battled with Multiple Myeloma. The many treatment and clinical trials she participated in will benefit the many lives of future Multiple Myeloma patients.

Stacey leaves to mourn her loss, her husband Scott, daughter Quinn, stepson Ryan (Carly), grandsons Jayce and Garrett, Uncle James Collier, Aunt Willa McQuilken, mother-in-law Shirley Caron, extended family, and a host of dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law Wesley Caron.

The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to Dr. Jason Valent, Mary Ann Karam, Dr. Lukas Nystrom, Heather Staley, all the support staff at the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center, as well as Marcia Slagle and Ohio Living Hospice. We are humbly gracious for the donations to Stacey’s GoFundMe which has been used for medical expenses,

Per Stacey’s wishes there will be no calling hours, but a small private memorial.
