Cheryl Sue (McCoy) Homer, 77, of Salineville, passed away at her home on Friday, March 28, 2025.
She was born on May 12, 1947, in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of the late James R. and Betty J. (Rumbold) McCoy.
Cheryl had a nurturing quality and lent her assistance as an in-home healthcare giver. She enjoyed spending time with her children and family, and always made life interesting for them. Cheryl was a fan of country music and would spend her free time playing on her iPad. She loved flowers, but roses were her favorite. She and her husband spent many years living at Guilford Lake, before she moved to Salineville.
She is survived by her children: Rhonda (James) Scullion, Richard (Missy Munici) Schreckengost, William (Laurie Fitch) Schreckengost; stepchildren: Tarri Mullane, Daniel Homer, Michael Homer, William Homer, and Molly Homer-Young, as well as 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David E. Homer, whom she married March 15, 1986, and her siblings: Sandra Grosenbacher, James McCoy, and Marsha Eudy.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, 2 p.m., at Woodsdale Cemetery, 32493 Teegarden Road, Guilford, Ohio 44423, pastor Kari Lankford officiating, with burial to follow.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services of Salem.
