Arthur A. Blosser

1926-2025

COLUMBIANA - Arthur A. Blosser, 98, died Saturday evening, April 12, 2025, at his home in Columbiana.

Arthur was born on June 29, 1926, in Salem, one of eight children of Samuel and Sadie (Spicher) Blosser.

He graduated from Goshen College with a B.S. in Economics, and married Ardith Cullar on May 15, 1954. They had five children, Charlene, Allen, Byron, Robert, and David.

Arthur was a member at Midway Mennonite Church, and also of the Ruritan Club. He was in a bowling league and part of a barbershop quartet. At one time he worked at NRM in Columbiana and was well-known for being a school treasurer. He served as school treasurer at South Range, Chardon and Fairport Harbor school districts.

He is survived by his daughter Charlene Hedge of Hutchinson, Kansas, and sons Allen Blosser of Tarentum, Pa., Robert Blosser of Scottsdale, Pa., and David Blosser of Columbiana; seven great-grandchildren, and brother Marcellus 'Perc' Blosser of Indiana.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; wife Ardith, who passed away Oct. 9, 1991; son Byron J. Blosser, who passed away April 27, 1995; four sisters, Adelia, Berdella, Christine, and Hermine; two brothers, Herman and Emerson; and granddaughter T'ahirih Hedge.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 4 p.m. at Midway Mennonite Church, 13376 Columbiana-Canfield Road, Columbiana, OH 44408, officiated by Pastor Cheryl Vanastky.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the church.
