EAST PALESTINE -- June L. Stockman, 97, lovingly known as "June Bug," passed away Feb. 27, 2025, at Covington Skilled Nursing in East Palestine.
She was born June 27, 1927, in East Palestine, daughter of the late Wilbur and Lillian Funk Hulton.
June was a lifelong resident of East Palestine. She was a member of the New Springfield Church of God, and previously a longtime member of the Columbiana Nazarene Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a missionary president. She worked for Barth Farms for a number of years.
June is survived by two sons, Terry Stockman of East Palestine, Bruce (Kathy) Stockman of East Palestine; sister-in-law, Esther Stockman; three grandchildren, Sarah, Michael and Natasha; three great-grandchildren, Melissa, Robert and Dominic and one great-great-granddaughter, Eleanore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Stockman in 2005; a son in infancy, Gary Stockman; two daughters-in-law, Judy and Susan Stockman; two brothers, Russell and James "Pete" Hulton; two sisters, Anna Mae Dembaugh and Esther Stewart; and a granddaughter, Kathy.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Springfield Church of God 3649 E. Garfield Road, New Springfield with Pastor Jonathan Holloway officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 10 to 11 a.m. A private interment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
