Ethel ‘Eppie’ Laura Needham

1939-2025

Ethel "Eppie" Laura Needham, 85, formerly of Salineville, died at Crossroads in East Liverpool on Feb. 10, 2025 following a lengthy illness.

Eppie was born in Salem, Ohio, on Dec. 19, 1939, a daughter of the late George Williams and Laura (smith) Williams.

Having lived all her life in the area Eppie attended David Anderson High School worked as a school bus driver for Southern Local Schools for 34 years, was a member of a bowling league at Salineville Lanes for many years, loved to ride horses and snow mobiles and was a former member of Bethel United Presbyterian Church.

Eppie is survived by: a son, Steve Bennett (Terri) of Salineville; a granddaughter, Cheyenne Bennett of Salineville; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Williams of Hanoverton.

In addition to her parents, Eppie was preceded in death by her husband James Needham, whom she married in 1983 and who died in June 2023; and a brother, Ernie Williams.

A funeral service will be held at the Kerr Watson Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025 at noon with Pastor Irv Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.

Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday two hours prior to the service from 10 a.m. to noon.
