Barbara D. Peterson, 77, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at her home in Hilliard, Ohio.
Born in Salem, Ohio to John William Peterson and Kathryn Gruber Peterson Gallo, Barbara was a graduate of David Anderson High School and St. Elizabeth Nursing School. As a third-generation nurse, she dedicated her entire life to serving others.
She is survived by her daughter: Kathryn (Craig) McMillen; granddaughter: Camryn McMillen; five sisters: Elizabeth (Robert) Brown, Ann Peterson (Denny) Ruck, Jewyl (Alan) Stevens, Melissa (Matthew) Johnston, and Natalie (Eric) Guappone; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her father: John William Peterson; her aunt: Jewyl Gruber Hina; her nephews: Thomas Bagley Jr. and John William Guappone; and her niece: Brenda Powell.
A celebration of life and private burial will held at a later date.
