Harry D. Rockhold

WELLSVILLE, Ohio – Harry D. Rockhold, 76, of Wellsville passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024, at his home with his family by his side.

Harry was born Nov. 10, 1948, in Wellsville, a son of the late John D. “Jack” and Rhelda (Cook) Rockhold.

Harry was a graduate of Southern Local High School Class of 1967. He was a veteran of the Army, proudly serving during the Vietnam War. Harry worked at all of the potteries in the area. He retired after working 32 years at the Bruce Mansfield Plant in Shippingport, Pa. Harry was an owner in the Locust Lane Kampground in North Kingsville, Ohio and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, whom he married Nov. 22, 1969, Rheba (Taggart) Rockhold; son Michael B. Rockhold and daughter Joni L. Rockhold and her companion Brad Gatrell.

Friends may visit Sunday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Mark Blakeley of Wellsville First Christian Church will conduct a funeral service Monday 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The Tri State Veterans Burial Group will provide military honors at the Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
