LEETONIA -- Betty Lou Stoffer, 90, of Leetonia, died on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024, at Windsor House at Parkside Health Care Center in Columbiana.
She was born on May 21, 1934, in New Waterford, a daughter of the late Floyd and Louise Garrod Webber.
Betty had worked as a teacher for over 30 years for the Crestview Schools and was an active member of the East Fairfield United Methodist Church. She was an energetic woman who was always on the go. Betty enjoyed traveling, wintering in Florida and loved to go shopping. She also enjoyed working at the election polls. She will be greatly missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing her.
Her husband, William D. Stoffer, whom she married on Nov. 11, 1955, preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 1992.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Lynda (Rod) Knizat; her son, David (Betty) Stoffer of Punta Gorda, Fla.; siblings, Shirley Cusick, Evelyn (Jack) Johnston, Floyd "Bud" (Phyllis) Webber Jr., Lawrence "Larry" (Denise) Webber and Lorre (Jim) Kress. Also surviving are many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Cusick.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, from 10 a.m. to noon at the East Fairfield United Methodist Church in New Waterford.
Services will be held on Saturday at noon at the church, with Rev. Lisa Courtwright officiating.
Burial will take place at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
Donations may be made in Betty's name to the East Fairfield United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 45675 state Route 558, New Waterford, OH 44445.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
