EAST PALESTINE -- Thomas L. Seiter, 89, a lifelong resident of East Palestine, passed away Oct. 20, 2024, at Caprice Healthcare in North Lima.
Tom was born July 12, 1935, in East Palestine, son of the late Lloyd and Clementine Ashbaugh Seiter.
He was a graduate of East Palestine High School and has always been an active booster and avid fan of bulldog sports. He was a veteran of the US Army, having been stationed in Ft. Ord, Calif. He had worked at Adamson Tank and numerous banking establishments throughout Columbiana County. He also owned and operated T&J Office Products and worked a number of years as a transporter for Columbiana Cadillac. He was active in East Palestine Kiwanis and helping organize the holiday parades.
Tom followed all Cleveland sports teams as well as the Buckeyes and the Bowling Green State University Falcons. He also loved traveling, and spending time with his family and his grandchildren.
Tom is survived by a daughter, Tina (Jim) Simon of Hudson, Mich.; a son, Thomas "Tim" (Kelly) Seiter Jr. of Boardman; two brothers, David (Pam) Seiter, Bill (Mary Ellen) Seiter; four sisters, Nancy Schmidt, Marge (Allen) Douglas, Sue (Richard) Roush and Deb (Ed) Murdock; as well as three grandchildren, Bryan (Meg) and Blake (Sarah) Simon and Tanner Seiter and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Joyce, his wife of 61 years.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Friday with Cindy Figley officiating. Interment will follow at Glenview Cemetery.
