Ruth E. House

COLUMBIANA — Ruth E. House, 79, of Columbiana, died on Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, at Windsor House at Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana.

She was born on Jan. 20, 1945, in Beaver Township, Ohio, daughter of the late Albert and Helen Mansfield Coler.

Ruth had worked as a clerk for Vivian’s Antiques and was a member of Lisbon Baptist Temple. She was a 1963 graduate of North Lima High School and enjoyed making bears and sewing, she made her daughter’s wedding dress and dresses for the bridal party. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren..

Ruth is survived by her husband, Michael S. House, whom she married on Aug. 5, 1966; son, Dennis House of Indianapolis, Ind.; daughter, Genny (James) Bucklew of Hillsville, Va.; two sisters, Betty Davis of Columbiana and Thelma Hunt of Boardman; two grandchildren, Christopher (Brittany) Bucklew of Virginia and Brandon (Sarah) Bucklew of North Carolina and seven great-grandchildren, Ivy, Bryson, Isaac, Elijah, Khloie, Jaxon and Elaina.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Loren Coler, Jim Coler and Kenny Coler, and a sister, Carol Howard.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Oct. 11, 2024 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Pastor Matthew Phillips officiating.

Burial will take place at Columbiana County Memorial Park, East Liverpool.
