Sally Gordon

1944-2024

EAST PALESTINE -- Sally Gordon, 80, passed away Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Boardman.

She was born Jan. 25, 1944, in Salem, Ohio, daughter of the late George and Grace (Hooks) Landsberger.

Sally was a lifetime resident of the area and a faithful member of the Abundant Life Fellowship in New Waterford. She worked at the Perfect Rose Florist, owned J&S Floral and Video with her husband and Kingwood Ceramics prior to retirement. She enjoyed cruising, playing bingo, softball, bowling and crocheting. She also served three years as president of East Palestine Town & Country Garden Club and was known for her embroidering of the Bulldog spirit wear.

She is survived by her two daughters, Judith Muir of New Waterford and Sandra (William) Mohney of East Palestine; a son, Mark (Sherry) Gordon of Morgantown, N.C.; brother, Daniel Landsberger; two sisters, Betty Burkey and Debra Hall; as well as 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gordon, in 1992, and two brothers, George and Gary Landsberger.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A funeral service will be held Saturday 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Schoch officiating. A burial will follow at Glenview cemetery in East Palestine.

Memorial contributions may be made in Sally's name to the Abundant Life Fellowship in New Waterford.
