Cheryl E. Hazen

1945-2024

EAST PALESTINE -- Cheryl E. Hazen, 79, passed away Sept. 1, 2024, at St. Mary's Alzheimers Center in Columbiana.

Cheryl was born June 19, 1945, in Beaver Falls, Pa., daughter of the late Harold and Rose Szekely Webb.

She was a member of the East Palestine Church of the Nazarene since 1973. She worked as a waitress for Sweet Shop in Beaver Falls until her retirement.

Cheryl is survived by two sons, Ronald James (Jessica) Hazen of Cortland, Michael David (Melissa) Hazen of Lake City, Fla.; three brothers, William, Gary and Bruce Webb; four sisters, Brenda Bast, Janice Low, Candace Wasson and Shelly Dawson.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2016, Sam Hazen, who met her at the gates of Heaven, as well as her brother, Terry Webb.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2024 at Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine with Pastor Pam Price officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Friday. A private burial will follow alongside her husband at Glenview.

Cheryl was kind to all people and creatures and willing to help anyone in need. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in her name to the East Palestine Nazarene Church or a local animal shelter.
