LISBON -- Betty Marie Allison, 93, of Lisbon, formerly of both Unity and Beaver Falls, Pa., passed away on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, at Continuous Health Care in Lisbon.
She was born on Aug. 19, 1931, in New Cumberland, W.Va., a daughter of the late William Earl and Edith Allison Herron.
Betty had worked as a health care aide for Helen Olivera and was of the Protestant faith. She enjoyed playing cards and square dancing. In her younger days, Betty enjoyed trail riding horses with her family.
Her husband, Jack Eugene Allison, whom she married on Aug. 19, 1948, preceded her in death on, March 3, 2003.
Betty is survived by her two sons, Jeffery (Lorraine) Allison of Leetonia and Timothy Allison of East Palestine. Also surviving are six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Jackie and William Allison; three brothers, William, Kenneth and infant brother Jerry Herron, and by an infant sister, Patricia Herron.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.
Services will be held on Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with Marie Keller officiating.
Betty will be laid to rest with her husband at Highland Cemetery in Midland, Pa.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.
