COLUMBIANA -- Virginia A. (Sabec) Urmson, 92, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2024 at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio.
She was born March 13, 1932 in Powhatan Point, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frank Sabec and Mary (Spetic) Sabec.
Having lived most of her life in the area, Virginia was a graduate of Salem High School Class of 1949, was a faithful lifetime member of the Lake Mount Church of Christ. She enjoyed going for walks and was a very loving mother and grandmother.
Virginia is survived by two sons: Robert (Lynn) Urmson of Columbiana, Rick (Kathy) Urmson of Columbiana; seven grandchildren: Douglas (Kristi) Urmson, Marcy (David) Grimm, Angie (Bruce) Jeffries, Kristen (Troy) Scott Abigail (Brock) Miller, Jeffrey (Kelly) Holtom, Michael (Jasmyn) Holtom; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Wilber R. Urmson Jr. whom she married on April 15, 1951 and who died Nov. 13, 2003; daughter; Susan Holtom and son-in-law Wayne Holtom. As well as three brothers and three sisters.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024 at the Lake Mount Church of Christ at 2 p.m. with Jason Cole officiating.
A private interment took place in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
Linsley Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
