Ralph Monte
1955-2024
EAST LIVERPOOL-- Ralph Allen Monte entered his final place of rest on August 2nd, 2024, after a series of health conditions. His passing occurred at UPMC in Pittsburgh, Pa, where he had loved ones by his side. Ralph left this world with his hands held tight; he was 68 years young.
Ralph was born on December 22, 1955, in East Liverpool, Ohio a son of the late Ralph and Margaret (Nicholson) Monte.
Ralph was a lifelong resident of Ohio, formerly of Wellsville and currently of East Liverpool. Growing up he was one of six children. Ralph had a deep love for family and had many aunts, uncles, cousins, sister and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews who showed him love throughout his life. Ralph loved being a father and enjoyed coaching his children in soccer, and volunteering at all of their activities. Upon retirement from W.H. Samis Plant in Stratton Ohio, Ralph was a full-time grandfather, or "Pop". He loved spending time with his grandchildren and took every opportunity to attend a dance recital, athletic game, or a trip to Beaver Creek. Ralph shined as a grandfather and earned the title "World's Best Pop".
Preceding Ralph in death was his brother Daniel Monte.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, whom he married December 11, 1982, Cindy (Durham) Monte; daughter Sara (Monte) Crable and her companion Matthew Miloszewski; son Samuel Monte and his fiancee Julie Miller; eight grandchildren, whom he cherished more than anything, Xavier 16, Carson 15, Elijah 15, Odessa 13, Max "Martha" 13, Claire 12, Juliana 11, and Nehemiah "Nemo" 8; three brothers John Monte and his wife Jody, Vincent Monte and his wife Brandi and Michael Monte and his wife Kara; sister Gina (Monte) Scardina and her husband Andy; two sisters-in-law Vickie Monte and Kimberly McPherson and her husband Brent and two brothers-in-law Chris Duram and Rick Duram and his wife Linda.
Family and friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday where the family will be present from 4 to 6 p.m. Rev. Tony DeLucia will conduct a service at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Immediately following the service, the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed in memory of Ralph to the Crestview Boys Soccer Booster Club, 44100 Crestview Road, Suite A, Columbiana, Ohio 44408.
