Dorothy L. Foutts

1937-2024

EAST LIVERPOOL -- Dorothy L. Hall Foutts, 86, of Calcutta, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of Friday, Aug. 23, 2024, at East Liverpool City Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Born on Dec. 19, 1937, in East Liverpool, Dorothy was a daughter of the late Edward and Katherine May Alton Hall. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a graduate of East Liverpool High School, Class of 1955. Dorothy was a devoted member of the former Anderson United Methodist Church as well as Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, where she found joy in leading Bible studies and volunteering with the free lunch program.

Dorothy's hands were never idle; she loved bowling, quilting, and dedicating her time to various jobs to support her beloved family. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of many especially her friends and loving family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James E. Foutts, with whom she shared 34 years of marriage, having wed on Dec. 31, 1970. Dorothy was also preceded by her two sons, Michael R. Logan and Douglas R. Logan, her sister, Marjorie Manley, and two brothers, Edward Hall and David Hall.

Dorothy's legacy continues through her family. There are two sons, Gregory M. Logan, along with his companion Kim Easterday, of East Liverpool, and Sean D Logan, with his wife Melissa, of Guilford Lake. She was a proud grandmother to 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Monte, and her husband, Mike, of Wellsville, her brother, Robert Hall, and his wife, Caroline, of Salem, and her dear daughter-in-law, Terri Logan.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday evening from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. A private family service, officiated by Pastor Larry Rose, will take place on Monday at 11 a.m. at the chapel at Riverview Cemetery.
