Austin Lee Miller

2007-2024

EAST PALESTINE -- Austin Lee Miller, 17, passed away Aug. 26, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at Akron Children's Medical Center, following an unexpected accident.

He was born May 21, 2007, in Beaver, Pa.

Austin was going into his senior year at East Palestine High School. His love for any outdoor activities including fishing with his cousins, duck hunting with his best friend, hiking and camping with his aunt was obvious. Austin thoroughly enjoyed and excelled with any type of firearm shooting. Austin was a varsity lettered athlete for the Blackhawk Clay Target Team where he competed at state and national levels.

During Austin's short life, he made a big impact on anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His outgoing and "jokester" personality was infectious.

Austin is survived by his paternal grandparents and legal guardians Will and Brenda Miller of East Palestine; parents, Will Miller Jr. and Stefani Anderson; brother, Brentley Miller; maternal grandparents, Rob and Jeanie Anderson; paternal great-grandmother, Mary (Glenn) Parrish; maternal great-grandparents, Kurt and Bonnie Elmke; aunt, Nicole (Ron) Neff; cousins Ella and Emma Neff.

Austin is preceded in death by his paternal great-grandfather, Roy Marsh, and his uncle, Travis Miller.

The family will receive friends Tuesday Sept. 3, 2024, at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine from 3 to 6 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 6 p.m. with his teacher, Mr. Pancake, officiating.

A reception will follow services at the Beaver Falls Sportsmen Assoc., 247 Sportsman Road, Darlington, Pa.

Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine is in charge of all arrangements.
